Stock Clerk – Supply Support – Kissimmee
Kissimmee seeks to hire Stock Clerk who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

Facility Profile:
Florida Hospital Kissimmee is a 163 bed community-focused hospital, conveniently located near Walt Disney World. The team here is dedicated to bringing mission-focused, faith-based care to residents and visitors of Osceola and Orange Counties. At the heart of our latest expansion is a new, three-story tower featuring 80 expansive, private patient rooms and a host of modern amenities and technologies. Because we believe family support is an essential part of health and healing, we’ve included large, beautifully decorated family waiting areas with the comforts of home. Plus, each patient room includes ample space for visiting loved ones to relax, work and sleep.

Department Profile:
Our highly engaged and diverse Supply Support team provides location specific materials acquisition and distribution support to the Clinical Nursing teams, and distribution of materials to the entire internal hospital. The team also provides sanitization of select minor patient care equipment for the Clinical Nursing team. The team is committed to exceptional customer service and support of the clinical team.

Work Hours/Shifts:
Mon – Fri / every 3rd or 4th weekend 7a – 4:30p

Job Summary:
The Stock Clerk is responsible for monitoring daily inventory and replenishment within the various nuring and other assigned areas. This position requires the exercise of judgement under general supervision. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Knowledge, Skills, Education, & Experience Required:
  • Ability to read and comprehend text and numbers in English, with ability to apply knowledge to measure, reason, match and problem solve.
  • Ability to work basic mathematical problems, and apply skill to application of inventory concepts
  • Ability to work with computers, to learn and apply computer related applications and programs, including using electronic keyboards, and other peripheral devices.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with customers and suppliers of varied backgrounds in a professional, courteous, professional and pro-active manner.
  • Ability to handle disinfection and cleaning chemicals and process appropriately and safely.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to buzzers, bells, flashing lights, and pagers.
  • High School graduate or equivelant (Preferred)
  • Previous Materials Management experience (Preferred)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitors inventory in the Supply Support area, nursing units and assigned hospital areas; reorders as needed via electronic requisition, to meet specific order deadlines.
  • Maintains and updates DPC; updates carts and bin locations to reflect current operations. Maintains a basic knowledge of commonly utilized supplies and items, including synonyms, to assist customers in an ongoing manner.
  • Receives items from the warehouse and other vendors, documents receipt utilizing appropriate process, and stores items appropriate to protect the integrity of the individual product...
  • Unpacks items received, delivers and/or stocks to appropriate hospital areas, including inside Supply.
  • Support department, as well as nursing units, surgery areas, emergency room, and other hospital departments.
  • Orders non-stock and special order items as appropriate for department scope of service; tracks ordering and delivery of such items. Ensures specialty cart items are maintained within expiration dates and are appropriately stocked.
  • Efficiently cleans and sanitizes various IV pumps, telemetry equipment and similar equipment, using appropriate chemicals and safety procedures, according to policy and practice. Returns sanitized equipment to appropriate storage areas. Maintains supplies necessary to perform process.
  • Actively participates in creating a Superior Patient Experience. Provides professional, courteous and prompt assistance to internal customers, including nursing and campus leadership, as well as patients and guests.
