JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Improvement RN trains, teaches and evaluates staff in accordance with FHMG’s quality improvement strategy. This position assists Administration in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating knowledge development and practice improvement in accordance with FHMG clinical quality initiatives.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to sit, walk, climb, stand, turn, twist, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, lift at least 25 lbs., carry, finger, hold, talk, see with a good field of vision, and hearing; Communicate on the telephone and directly with nurses, doctors or MA’s; read paperwork, printouts and computer screens; Requires manual dexterity sufficient to maintain files, operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and other small desk equipment and computer.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS


  • Degree in nursing required.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong professional relationships with Office Managers, staff and physicians and the ability to teach others is required.

  • Must be dedicated to quality and prior experience in a physician office is strongly preferred.

  • Prior experience with Performance Improvement, Quality Assessment and Assurance, and Regulatory Management preferred.

  • Minimum of five years in one of the following areas: clinical nursing, health information management, or other clinical/hospital specialty is preferred.

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.

    CERTIFICATE/LICENSE

    Current and active Registered Nurse License in the State of Florida is required.
