We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an Administrative Assistant position that will be based in our Public Policy and Community Benefit and Government Relations departments. This position is based at our corporate office in Altamonte Springs, FL.

This position provides the opportunity to be integral in the successful running of both director’s roles and departments. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, proactive, resourceful and personable. Proactive decision-making skills, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Interest in current events, community and public policy.

Specific job duties include:

Administrative Support and Meeting Management
  • Proactively manages Directors’ calendars.
  • Makes travel arrangements and provides helpful travel information before every trip.
  • Manages online and mail subscriptions.
  • Proactively coordinate and prepare agendas and corresponding meeting material for meetings.
  • Prepare/edit reports, documents and presentations as needed. Assist in the development of project approaches and next steps with project leader as requested.

Public Policy and Community Benefit and Corporate Citizenship
  • Understands and supports Public Policy and Community Benefit Director projects, including the Community Health Needs Assessment, Community Health Plans.
  • Provides technical support for AHS secondary data reports and the AHS Data Hub at
  • Manages the community benefit software for AHS systemwide and serves as the HelpDesk
  • Maintains and updates Community Benefit best practice library
  • Actively participate in the development and tracking of the team’s work plan and projects

Government Relations
  • Support and develop tracking systems
  • Support in running of key events

Experience Requirements:
  • 3-5 years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role

Educational Requirements:
  • High School Diploma

Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Strong working knowledge of word processing, presentation software and spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrates complete understanding of general office organization and efficiently uses office machines: computer, copier, fax machine, scanner.
